With a population of around 9 million in the city and 16 million in the wider metropolitan area,[3] Tehran is the largest city and urban area of Iran, the second largest city in Western Asia, and the 3rd largest in the Middle East. It is ranked 29th in the world by the population of its metropolitan area.[4] In the Classical era, part of the present-day city of Tehran was occupied by a Median city which in the Avesta occurs as Rhaga.[5] It was destroyed by the Mongols in the early 13th century, and remains now as a city in Tehran Province, located towards the south end of the modern-day city of Tehran. Tehran was first chosen as the capital of Iran by Agha Mohammad Khan of the Qajar dynasty in 1796, in order to remain in close reach of Iran's territories in the Caucasus, at that time still part of Iran, and to avoid vying factions of previous Iranian dynasties. The capital has been moved several times throughout the history, and Tehran is the 32nd national capital of Iran. The city was the seat of Qajars and Pahlavis, the two last imperial dynasties of the country. It is home to many historical monuments, such as the royal complexes of Golestan, Saadabad, and Niavaran, as well as the country's most important governmental buildings of the modern period. Large scale demolition and rebuilding began in the 1920s, and Tehran has been subject of mass migration of people from all over Iran, since the 20th century.[6] The most famous landmarks of the city include the Azadi Tower, a memorial built during the Pahlavi period, and the Milad Tower, the world's 17th tallest freestanding structure which was built in 2007. The newly built Tabiat Bridge is considered as the 3rd symbol of the city.[7] Majority of the people of Tehran are Persian-speaking people who identify themselves as Persians,[8][9] and roughly 99% of the population understand and speak Persian; but there are also populations of other Iranian ethnicities such as Azerbaijanis, Armenians, Lurs, and Kurds who speak Persian as their second language.[10] Tehran is served by the Mehrabad and Khomeini international airports, a central railway station, the rapid transit rail system of Tehran Metro, as well as trolleybus and BRT systems, and has a huge network of highways. There have been plans to relocate Iran's capital from Tehran to another area; due mainly to air pollution and the city's exposure to earthquakes. Wikipedia

Astana is the capital city of Kazakhstan. It is located on the Ishim River in the north portion of Kazakhstan, within Akmola Province, though administrated separately from the province as a federal city area. It is the second-largest city in Kazakhstan. Founded in 1830 as Akmolinsk and renamed as Tselinograd in 1961, the city has evolved into a cultural and administrative centre of Virgin Lands Campaign. In 1992, it was renamed as Akmola, the original name meaning "white holy place" or "white abundance". On 10 December 1997, Akmola became the capital of Kazakhstan. On 6 May 1998, it received the name of Astana, which means "the capital" in Kazakh. Since becoming the capital, Astana has undergone tremendous growth. It is home to many futuristic buildings, hotels and skyscrapers. In addition to serving as government headquarters, Astana is center for industry, sports, healthcare and education. Astana International Airport was designed by late-Japanese architect, Kisho Kurokawa. The Astana Metro is a planned underground construction in Astana. Astana Railway Station is an important hub for northern Kazakhstan, served by Qazaqstan Temir Zholy trains to most major cities in Kazakhstan, including Talgo expresses to Almaty. International trains leave for Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. There is also a direct train to Urumqi in China's Xinjiang. Astana, Kazakhstan is the host venue for EXPO-2017, which will focus on the theme "Future Energy". The theme is aimed to concentrate on both the future of energy, but also on innovative, but practical energy solutions, and their global impact. EXPO-2017 will be the first time that a major international exhibition of this kind is coming to a country from the former Soviet Union. More than 100 countries and 10 international organizations are expected to participate. Around 2-3 million people are expected to visit the international pavilions from June to September 2017. 25 hectares is planned for the pavilions of Expo 2017. The site has a convenient access to Astana’s city center, the international airport and the railway station. The Expo Site is also linked with a network of Kazakhstan’s inter-city roads to ensure a quick access from all the country. Construction of the pavilions will begin April 2014 with 20 companies from Kazakhstan and 49 companies from around the globe. Currently, designs are being considered for the grounds of Expo 2017 from architects in the UK, USA, Germany, Austria, Netherlands and China. On April 24, 2014 the President of Kazakhstan Nurusltan Nazarbayev took part in a capsule-laying ceremony of the Astana EXPO-2017 Exhibition center construction in Astana, which will be located near the Nazarbayev University. The new model railway layout of Italy is really a masterpiece and a work of art in the field of model building. It is located at the so-called “Wonderland of Miniatures” in Germany. Only then, when Pilentum was editing and cutting this YouTube video, he was able to find the thousands of details. Visitors of this model railroad exhibit will be a little overloaded because every square meter amazing, impressive and loving details. There are hundreds of little stories which a told by the sceneries of the model trains layout. Furthermore, the day and night illumination in Liguria and on the Amalfi Coast is impressive because it is like a light show. I guess, you must have seen this overwhelming scale model exhibit in Germany in person. More information and a lot of photos are available at http://www.pilentum.org, for free.

ENGLISH: The Termini station in Rome is the largest railway station in the capital as well as the most important of all Italy. The railway terminal is composed of 31 track logs, 22 of which reach the gallery rubberized, four are devoted to so-called "lines Lazio, 2 east of the square and 2 others without shelter, were derived from former sidings. The movement is controlled by an ACC system (Computerized Interlocking), the first and so far the largest installed in Italy, active since October 1997. Before, he was active in an Interlocking Levers, consisting of over 750 "handles", which were formed by the routes of entry and departure of trains. The old system was driven by multiple people, transmitted orally by a coordinator located on a platform, but now the room that houses the ACC has a muffled atmosphere and is dominated by a huge screen showing real-time employment of and track the status of all entities of the station. The station also has a public voice information system that can adjust the sound volume according to the present. The voices can be heard even in the underground shopping mall. Termini is the busiest railway station in Italy and among the top three in Europe, with around 800 trains per day (arrivals and departures 400,000 passengers per day) for a total of about 150 million passengers a year. In terms of rail services are all categories that exist today, from having to Eurostar, Intercity services from national and international. There are also several trains interregional, regional and direct, in addition to the facilities referred to as suburban FR (regional train). Restored for the Jubilee of 2000, the station became an important reference point for tourists and citizens of Rome, largely due to the presence of many services like the Forum Termini, a large shopping mall located in the basement of the station. http://tourvideos.com/ The Bern train station is right next to the Old Town, so your walk through the historic zone begins the moment you arrive. The main street proceeds directly from the train station through the historic center, changing names five times in its five blocks, with shops all along the way. This road is remarkable not only for the ancient buildings and arcades that cover both sides, but for the spectacular Renaissance fountains down the middle. The Kramgasse is some 330 meters (1,080 ft) long and lies at the center of the old city. It is the western half of the central axis of the city's oldest part, the Zähringerstadt, built right after the founding of the city in 1191. It is bounded to the west by the Zytglogge, Bern's iconic clock tower that served as the city's main gate tower in the 12th century. In the east, the Kreuzgasse, literally a "crossroads", separates it from the other half of the old main street, the Gerechtigkeitsgasse. Several narrow alleys and passageways connect the Kramgasse to the parallel Rathausgasse in the north and the Münstergasse in the south. Both sides of the Kramgasse are covered with Lauben, stone arcades that protect pedestrians from inclement weather. The Kramgasse was known as the Märitgasse (Swiss German for "Market Alley") until the 15th century and as the Vordere Gasse during the 16th century. The changes in name reflect the street's changes in character. In medieval times, it served as the city's marketplace, but after the Reformation the market stands were gradually replaced by stores. The street remained the commercial center of the city until the middle of the 19th century, its heyday being the 1840s. Two covered arches at both ends of the Marketgasse block include the famous Clock Tower, the oldest building in town, whose astronomical clock still works after 500 years. Einstein lived on this main street for eight years while developing the General Theory of Relativity, and his house is now open as a museum. Among all the pretty towns of Switzerland, Bern is unique because most of the sidewalks in the historic section are covered by old arcades that continue for nearly four miles along most of the streets in the center. The stone arcades offer protection from sun and rain, but more importantly, create a special atmosphere that is somewhere between being outdoors and inside. Because the buildings are small, department stores and franchises have stayed away, leaving most of the retail space for unique shops and galleries. This historic section is only 400 meters long and wide, ideally suited for a walking tour, immersed in buildings that have not changed much since the Middle Ages. It is such a historic gem the town center has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The word Bern means bear and this animal is the symbol and token of the city. At the end of town across the river they have their famous bear pits. In recent years the government has greatly expanded this bear habitat to make it really a pleasant place for the bears to live. Previously it was not so nice, it was really just a bear pit, a hole in the ground lined with cement and a couple of bears living there, almost cruel place to keep the bears. But now it's become a vast outdoor zoo and the bears seem to be enjoying it -- they're having a great time. They created this landscaping that comes down the side of the hill right down to the river, and created several plunge pools for the bears to go swimming, and walkways so that the public can see the bears and the bears can see the people. It's all very well planned and of course it's all very safe. They're not going to jump out at you but you do get a chance to get very close to them. Another important building is the Gothic cathedral with the nation's highest church tower at 328 feet, which you may climb for a birds eye view of the historic center. When you're done visiting the main sites of Bern and you're going to walk back towards the train station, there are several other lovely side streets that you should explore so that you see something different on your way back. We walked over to the Rathaus, the City Hall, which has a very impressive Rathausgasse and another big church of St. Peter and Paul, and walked along the Rathausgasse for a block, another well preserved neighborhood. Then we took a little detour on Brunnengasse. This too was a charming little street, very quiet, hardly any cars, and nice shops, a few restaurants and bars along the way, the old historic buildings and a lovely curvature to the lines of Brunnengasse, and that reconnects once again with the Rathausgasse. Next you'll come across Kornhausplatz which is a large plaza that was first built about 600 years ago and it's always been one of the main plazas of the city. We absorb the sites of Bern before departing and heading back to Interlaken.
