The English name for the city is derived from the Irish name Dubhlinn, meaning "black pool". Founded as a Viking settlement, it evolved into the Kingdom of Dublin and became the island's principal city following the Norman invasion. The city expanded rapidly from the 17th century...

With a population of around 9 million in the city and 16 million in the wider metropolitan area,[3] Tehran is the largest city and urban area of Iran, the second largest city in Western Asia, and the 3rd largest in the Middle East. It is ranked 29th in the world by the population of its metropolitan area.[4] In the Classical era, part of the present-day city of Tehran was occupied by a Median city which in the Avesta occurs as Rhaga.[5] It was destroyed by the Mongols in the early 13th century, and remains now as a city in Tehran Province, located towards the south end of the modern-day city of Tehran. Tehran was first chosen as the capital of Iran by Agha Mohammad Khan of the Qajar dynasty in 1796, in order to remain in close reach of Iran's territories in the Caucasus, at that time still part of Iran, and to avoid vying factions of previous Iranian dynasties. The capital has been moved several times throughout the history, and Tehran is the 32nd national capital of Iran. The city was the seat of Qajars and Pahlavis, the two last imperial dynasties of the country. It is home to many historical monuments, such as the royal complexes of Golestan, Saadabad, and Niavaran, as well as the country's most important governmental buildings of the modern period. Large scale demolition and rebuilding began in the 1920s, and Tehran has been subject of mass migration of people from all over Iran, since the 20th century.[6] The most famous landmarks of the city include the Azadi Tower, a memorial built during the Pahlavi period, and the Milad Tower, the world's 17th tallest freestanding structure which was built in 2007. The newly built Tabiat Bridge is considered as the 3rd symbol of the city.[7] Majority of the people of Tehran are Persian-speaking people who identify themselves as Persians,[8][9] and roughly 99% of the population understand and speak Persian; but there are also populations of other Iranian ethnicities such as Azerbaijanis, Armenians, Lurs, and Kurds who speak Persian as their second language.[10] Tehran is served by the Mehrabad and Khomeini international airports, a central railway station, the rapid transit rail system of Tehran Metro, as well as trolleybus and BRT systems, and has a huge network of highways. There have been plans to relocate Iran's capital from Tehran to another area; due mainly to air pollution and the city's exposure to earthquakes. Wikipedia

The Expo Site is also linked with a network of Kazakhstan’s inter-city roads to ensure a quick access from all the country. Construction of the pavilions will begin April 2014 with 20 companies from Kazakhstan and 49 companies from around the globe. Currently, designs are being considered for the grounds of Expo 2017 from architects in the UK, USA, Germany, Austria, Netherlands and China. On April 24, 2014 the President of Kazakhstan Nurusltan Nazarbayev took part in a capsule-laying ceremony of the Astana EXPO-2017 Exhibition center construction in Astana, which will be located near the Nazarbayev University. The new model railway layout of Italy is really a masterpiece and a work of art in the field of model building. It is located at the so-called “Wonderland of Miniatures” in Germany. Only then, when Pilentum was editing and cutting this YouTube video, he was able to find the thousands of details. Visitors of this model railroad exhibit will be a little overloaded because every square meter amazing, impressive and loving details. There are hundreds of little stories which a told by the sceneries of the model trains layout. Furthermore, the day and night illumination in Liguria and on the Amalfi Coast is impressive because it is like a light show. I guess, you must have seen this overwhelming scale model exhibit in Germany in person. More information and a lot of photos are available at http://www.pilentum.org, for free.

http://tourvideos.com/ The Bern train station is right next to the Old Town, so your walk through the historic zone begins the moment you arrive. The main street proceeds directly from the train station through the historic center, changing names five times in its five blocks, with shops all along the way. This road is remarkable not only for the ancient buildings and arcades that cover both sides, but for the spectacular Renaissance fountains down the middle. The Kramgasse is some 330 meters (1,080 ft) long and lies at the center of the old city. It is the western half of the central axis of the city's oldest part, the Zähringerstadt, built right after the founding of the city in 1191. It is bounded to the west by the Zytglogge, Bern's iconic clock tower that served as the city's main gate tower in the 12th century. In the east, the Kreuzgasse, literally a "crossroads", separates it from the other half of the old main street, the Gerechtigkeitsgasse. Several narrow alleys and passageways connect the Kramgasse to the parallel Rathausgasse in the north and the Münstergasse in the south. Both sides of the Kramgasse are covered with Lauben, stone arcades that protect pedestrians from inclement weather. The Kramgasse was known as the Märitgasse (Swiss German for "Market Alley") until the 15th century and as the Vordere Gasse during the 16th century. The changes in name reflect the street's changes in character. In medieval times, it served as the city's marketplace, but after the Reformation the market stands were gradually replaced by stores. The street remained the commercial center of the city until the middle of the 19th century, its heyday being the 1840s. Two covered arches at both ends of the Marketgasse block include the famous Clock Tower, the oldest building in town, whose astronomical clock still works after 500 years. Einstein lived on this main street for eight years while developing the General Theory of Relativity, and his house is now open as a museum. Among all the pretty towns of Switzerland, Bern is unique because most of the sidewalks in the historic section are covered by old arcades that continue for nearly four miles along most of the streets in the center. The stone arcades offer protection from sun and rain, but more importantly, create a special atmosphere that is somewhere between being outdoors and inside. Because the buildings are small, department stores and franchises have stayed away, leaving most of the retail space for unique shops and galleries. This historic section is only 400 meters long and wide, ideally suited for a walking tour, immersed in buildings that have not changed much since the Middle Ages. It is such a historic gem the town center has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The word Bern means bear and this animal is the symbol and token of the city. At the end of town across the river they have their famous bear pits. In recent years the government has greatly expanded this bear habitat to make it really a pleasant place for the bears to live. Previously it was not so nice, it was really just a bear pit, a hole in the ground lined with cement and a couple of bears living there, almost cruel place to keep the bears. But now it's become a vast outdoor zoo and the bears seem to be enjoying it -- they're having a great time. They created this landscaping that comes down the side of the hill right down to the river, and created several plunge pools for the bears to go swimming, and walkways so that the public can see the bears and the bears can see the people. It's all very well planned and of course it's all very safe. They're not going to jump out at you but you do get a chance to get very close to them. Another important building is the Gothic cathedral with the nation's highest church tower at 328 feet, which you may climb for a birds eye view of the historic center. When you're done visiting the main sites of Bern and you're going to walk back towards the train station, there are several other lovely side streets that you should explore so that you see something different on your way back. We walked over to the Rathaus, the City Hall, which has a very impressive Rathausgasse and another big church of St. Peter and Paul, and walked along the Rathausgasse for a block, another well preserved neighborhood. Then we took a little detour on Brunnengasse. This too was a charming little street, very quiet, hardly any cars, and nice shops, a few restaurants and bars along the way, the old historic buildings and a lovely curvature to the lines of Brunnengasse, and that reconnects once again with the Rathausgasse. Next you'll come across Kornhausplatz which is a large plaza that was first built about 600 years ago and it's always been one of the main plazas of the city. We absorb the sites of Bern before departing and heading back to Interlaken.

After 3 hours and 40 minutes waiting on the Peace Bridge at Chinggis Avenue close to Sukhbaatar Square in Ulaanbaatar city center, the capital of Mongolia, the main signal light turns to yellow. The freight train, loaded with coal in the open cargo wagons type Eaos, approaches of direction Sainschand, is set beautiful into the light of the afternoon sun, even if the shadows are long. Dublin is the capital city of Ireland. Its vibrancy, nightlife and tourist attractions are world renowned and it's the most popular entry point for international visitors to Ireland. As a city, it is disproportionately large for the size of the country with a population of 1.8 million in the Greater Dublin Region; nearly half of the Republic's population lives in this metropolitan area. The centre is, however, relatively small and can be navigated by foot, with most of the population living in sprawling suburbs. The English name for the city is derived from the Irish name Dubhlinn, meaning "black pool". Founded as a Viking settlement, it evolved into the Kingdom of Dublin and became the island's principal city following the Norman invasion. The city expanded rapidly from the 17th century; it was briefly the second largest city in the British Empire and the fifth largest in Europe. Dublin entered a period of stagnation following the Act of Union of 1800, but it remained the economic centre for most of the island. Following the partition of Ireland in 1922, the new parliament was located in Leinster House. Dublin became the capital of the Irish Free State and later the Republic of Ireland. Like the cities of Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford, Dublin is administered separately from its respective County with its own City Council. The city is listed by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network as a global city, with a ranking of "Alpha-", placing Dublin among the top 30 cities in the world. It is a historical and contemporary cultural centre for the country, as well as a modern centre of education, the arts, administration, economy, and industry. QUESTIONS? ENGLISH The city of Kalamata is located in the southern prefecture of Messinia in the Peloponnese of which is the capital. The layout of the station, opened in the early years of the 900 companies from SPAP (rail Piraeus - Athens - Peloponnese) and now run by the Greek Railways OSE , with its two platforms and its service yard is to be considered medium to high importance in the meter-gauge network of the Peloponnese, in fact it is a terminal station of Patras , from Corinth and the short line for Messini and its airport. The appearance of the passenger building is aligned with the typical greek style is characterized by a rough stone covering the first floor of the building, while the second floor is plastered. The services in this movie are of two types and are characterized by the rolling stock in which they are played: the 3 carriages DMU (class 6501, man\Greek shipyards 1991) are for services from or to Patras, while the binary ( class 6521, same manufacturers of the 6501) are for the local services for Messini. Special features of this station is definitely the manual level crossing that is out of the station, probably by the inauguration and never replaced as well as others located in the urban network of Patras. The railway network with the rest of the Peloponnese was closed from January 30, 2011 to the difficult economic conditions that the Greek railways have faced in the period of world crisis. as a result of these cuts the narrow gauge network of the Peloponnese, which until then had an 'extension of about 500 km, was limitated only at urban services of Patras and on the Olympia - Pyrgos - Katakolo, as well the tourist railway Diakopto - Kalavrita. For this reason, these shots represent a single document on a railroad which is little known among the railway fans and which is fully integrated into the context in which the regions where it pass, as well as meet our timetables written entirely handwritten in greek, where modern automatic level crossings live with old wire ones of the early twentieth century.
